If you're reading this page, you are one of just a handful of unique B.C. artists and crafters who were personally invited to consider joining Raincoast Handmade Creations as our FIRST crafters in each of these categories: textiles, houswares, gifts and accessories, bath and beauty, sculpture, pottery, photography, woodcraft, and more.
On July 1st (Canada Day) we will be opening up vendor subscriptions to the general public. All vendors will be carefully vetted before they are accepted. Our entry-level membership plan will start at $295/year, but with this special offer, if you sign up before B.C. Day (August 1st), you will only pay $150 for your first year!

Vendor perks!
- We handle all of the online sales, customer service, packing, shipping, payment processing, and taxes, freeing you up to CREATE!
- We cater only to local B.C. crafters and artisans. All Raincoast vendors are located in British Columbia, so shoppers won't be bombarded with thousands of products from around the world – yours will shine brightly in the mix!
- Our packaging is sustainable, our power is offset by green energy, shipping is carbon neutral through Canada Post's carbon credit offset program, and through One Tree Planted, we plant one tree for every order! Shoppers who buy products from Raincoast feel confident about their purchase.
- You'll receive grouped monthly payouts for all products that sell during the month.
- Receive monthly analytics reports, helping you understand how your products are performing.
- Once you've been a vendor for over 6 months, you will be applicable for profit sharing if you decide to upgrade to a higher plan.
- Professional product photography is offered for a minor charge per product, and it built in to Level 2 and 3 subscriptions. Bulk rates available if you are listing 15 or more products on the website.
- We also offer big discounts on logo design, website design, and other graphic design services!
Who's the ringleader of this show?
Hi! My name is Julie Melano, and I own a small Langford-based company called Fairwind Creative, specializing in earth-friendly graphic and web design. I'm a member of the Westshore Chamber of Commerce, and I've been a graphic designer since the mid 1990s.
I founded Raincoast Handmade Creations in early 2024, inspired by all the amazing work I've seen B.C. crafters and artisans produce over the years. I saw the need for an all-in-one, B.C. ONLY online marketplace where people around the world can shop for quality handmade products created by the amazing crafters who call this province home. In a world of Amazon, Instacart, and AI, it's incredibly important to support local artists who strive to uphold time honoured traditional craftsmanship by creating decorative and useful handmade products.
Back in my university years, I majored in art, emphasizing photography and graphic design. I learned how to make jewellery along the way, and it's now a big passion (whenever I can fit it in). Here's my growing collection on the website, under the vendor name "JM Jewels".
Bottom line, I want to help make your amazing work shine! I was blown away by the amazing products you're selling, and I'd like to help get more eyes on your work and expose the world to your amazing craftsmanship.
